Lessons Learned

 

I saw this and I thought the light was good.  Took the shot, came back out and the light was amazing.  Patience must be practiced in photography.

These young ladies were apart of youth night I the football game I went to.  I love the way the background falls off.

At the Davidson County Fair

This was took at the county fair for an assignment.  I loved the clouds, like my good friend Dave Dulaney says you can put anything under clouds and it looks good.

Protesting at the DNC

These people were out at the DNC trying to bring attention to their cause.  Peace activist were spreading the word about what they thought was important.

At the Democratic National Convention

I went to the Democratic National Convention today and saw some interesting people.  Like this guy on stilts sporting the red,white, and blue.

A Silhouette

This was a nice silhouette that I captured just playing around with a long lens.  I really liked the effect that came out of it.

Rural Randolph County

This was an old abandon building in rural Randolph County.  It was late in the evening and had some great light falling on it.

Colorful Mushrooms

I thought these were very colorful mushrooms located kind of randomly in the moss. 

My Apple

I shot this for the summer harvest assignment that never happend.  I really the bokah effect and I think it makes a great picture.

On Location

I kind of messed up this week.  I thought it was summer harvest time, so imagine my surprise when I found out it was an off camera flash blog for this week.  This is my dad, he was kind enough to let me get some valuable practice with flash....thanks pops.

Shapes of roads

This was shot for an assignment looking for shapes of roads.  I really love old dirt roads, and the S curve within it.  I add the family unit and it turned out pretty good.

Parks and Recreation

last night my son and I went to the playground to play.  This may have been the first time he enjoyed helping me with an assignment...such a handsome little boy.

This may be the most beautiful cylinder known to man!...Nah...probably not.  I just hope my instructor likes it..so what think Kevin?

The ABC Assignment

This was our latest class project to help us with photoshop.  A lot of hard work and frustration went into this.  Thankfully its done!!!!  We are going to be photoshop wizards in a few weeks....thanks John!

First Time

This is my first post and first time blogging.  We had to create this for a school project, but I hope it turns in to so much more.  As my life in photography grows, hopefully so will this blog.  I look forward to the journey and where it leads me.  Life's too short not to have fun, make sure everyday at some point we all have fun!!  Later all.
